BE A LEADER

  • Mentoring Conversation Instructions:

    1. Click on the red circle to play the song entitled, "Where My Leaders At?," and listen to it with your mentee(s).


    2. After listening to the song with your mentee(s), ask these questions to engage the young person(s) in a mentoring conversation with you:


    a) The song asks the question over and over, "What it takes to be a leader?" What do you think it takes to be a leader?


    b) Which leadership qualities do you think you have?


    c) Which leadership qualities are you the weakest?


    d) What leaders do you admire and look up to? Why?


    e) Do you consider yourself a leader now? Who are you leading?


    f) What can you do now to be a positive leader for your siblings, schoolmates and friends in your neighborhood?


    g) What does Jesus say about leadership? In Mark 10:42,43 Jesus says, "You know that those who are regarded as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them... Not so with you. Instead whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant."  What does this verse mean?
