After watching the video with your mentee(s), ask the questions, below, to engage the young person(s) in a mentoring conversation with you:
a) What is the song talking about?
b) What are your unique gifts and talents?
c) If you don't know, let me ask you a few questions:
-----What subject in school are you good at?
-----What comes easy to you but hard for others?
-----What is your passion, something that you would do for free?
d) From your answers to the questions, what do you think is one or two of your gifts and talents?
e) How do you think you are to use your gifts and talents to make a difference in the world?
f) What do you need to do to make sure you don't waste your gifts and talents?
g) What does God say about how special you are? The person who wrote Psalm 139:13-14 said in this verse, "For you (God) created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Do you believe this about yourself? Why or why not?
h) Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Savior?
