  • Mentoring Conversation Instructions:

    2. After watching the video with your mentee(s), ask these questions to engage the young person(s) in a mentoring conversation with you:


    a) What was one thing that the Latino college students said in the video that spoke to you in a special way? Why?


    b) Why do you want to go to college?


    c) Will you be the first in your family to go to college? If you will be the first, how do think this will feel? Why?


    d) What is the importance of getting a college education?


    e) How can it make life better for you and your family?


    f) What do you need to do now to keep working towards your goal of going to college?


    g) How will you make sure you earn scholarships to pay for your college education?


    h) Is it important to God that you excel academically?  In Colossians 3:23 God says, "Whatever you do, work at with all your heart, as working for the Lord..."  What does this verse mean?


    i) Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Savior?
