After watching the video with your mentee(s), ask the questions, below, to engage the young person(s) in a mentoring conversation with you:
a. What do the girls and women in the video mean when they say: “Wish they see me for me, the real me?”
b. What do they think guys mostly see when they look at them?
c. Girls only: How do you feel when guys are just looking at your outward appearance?
d. What does it mean to be a sex object?
e. Guys only: How do you think girls/women feel when you look at them and speak to them like they are just sex objects?
f. Guys only: Have you seen guys sexually harassing girls/women? In what way?
g. When you have seen girls being sexually harassed in person or on social media, do you do anything or say anything? What do you do or what should you do?
h. Girls only: What can you do to demand respect from guys?
i. Girls only: What should you do when you are sexually harassed – in person or on social media?
j. In the Bible in Proverbs 31:30-31 it says, “Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.” What does this mean in light of what we have been talking about? What is a woman who fears the Lord like? What does this tell guys to focus on?
k. Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Savior?
